• Pack and unpack items to be stocked on shelves in stockrooms, warehouses, tool rooms, or storage yard
• Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damage to supervisors
• Examine shipment contents and compare with records, such as invoices, or orders, to verify accuracy
• Pack, seal, label, and prepare materials for shipping, using hand tools, or power tools
• Scan materials in and out of the inventory system to keep accurate record of materials on hand
• Performing physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials
• Using hands and arms in handling, positioning, and moving materials
• Receiving, processing, labeling, and storing incoming stock
• Maintain clear records on all inventory and stock
• Organize the warehouse space
• Load and unload materials on trucks both inside the warehouse and outside
• Load and unload materials and equipment that go out/come in from job sites
• Recording arrival and departure times of shipments
• Counting stock and keeping inventory records
• Maintain safety regulations and compliance with all applicable regulations
• Equipment maintenance and upkeep
• Interface with management to ensure key objectives are realized
• Operate forklifts and other machinery to move and organize materials for storage and transportation
• Label and stockpile merchandise according to size, shape, and type

• High School diploma or GED
• Proven Warehouse experience
• Experience with inventory software is preferred, but not required
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Forklift Certified (preferred, but not required – will get within 90 days of start date)
• Physical stamina and manual dexterity
• Great communication skills
• The ability to be a team player
• Must be able to lift and handle up to 80 pounds regularly and up to 100 lbs. occasionally(assisted)
• Able to work on feet on cement flooring all shift
• Hours of shift Mon-Frid, occasional OT and Saturday work required
• Must have a valid driver license
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Must be a team player and work well with others
• Pre-employment drug screen and physical required

Van Maanen Electric is looking for a capable Warehouse Associate to support our company's warehouse operations who have a strong work ethic. Our Warehouse Associates perform duties in connection with ordering, receiving, inspecting, recording, storing, materials and equipment. Warehouse Associates also load, unload, and handles materials and supplies to be used for construction projects. In addition, they work closely with the warehouse supervisor to streamline processes and assure the quality of goods.
