Van Maanen Electric is seeking self-motivated team members to work with our Traffic Signal & Airport crews. The position of a Traffic Signal Apprentice requires extensive physical outdoor work year-round in the summer and winter months. This work includes (not limited to) working outdoors in all elements, walking over uneven terrain, digging with a shovel, and lifting up to 100 lbs. frequently. This is a physically demanding position; the ideal candidate is physically fit, possesses a strong work ethic, and is eager to learn traffic signal technology. This position is based out of Newton, IA and will require travel from our shop to various job site locations typically around but not limited to the Des Moines area.
