Introduction

This is a full-timepermanent position with Value Recovery Group (“VRG”) with headquarters based at 919 Old Henderson Road, Columbus, Ohio.

VRG is a small, diversified company headquartered in Columbus, Ohio with an international footprint. With a subsidiary office located in Herndon, Virginia the VRG companies operate in four primary business segments: commercial asset recovery; financial advisory; real estate development; international asset recovery. The Paralegal will work closely with the CEO and the SVP/General Counsel who provides management and oversight of all legal affairs of the VRG companies. The Paralegal will assist with a wide array of projects and assignments across a broad spectrum of areas of law including international transactions, contracts, international law, compliance, real estate transactions, government contracting, corporate governance, litigation management, risk management and employment.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

· Manage organization and documentation for various contracts, projects and activities;

· Monitor and manage compliance requirements for subsidiaries, programs and projects;

· Legal research and/or writing on a variety of legal issues as they arise and impact the VRG entities;

· Drafting of various transactional documents;

· On-line investigations;

· Lead and/or assist with ad hoc internal projects;

· Creation and maintenance of templates and reporting spreadsheets as may be required for workflow, monitoring and reporting purposes to a variety of government agencies, and assistance in the updating of those forms and reporting spreadsheets that already exist;

· Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

· Bachelor’s Degree required.

· Paralegal certificate from an ABA accredited program preferred, or a combination of education and/or experience.

· 2-4 years of experience as a paralegal/legal assistant.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $74,000.00 per year
