At the YMCA, we are looking for role models like you to join one of our 15 branches as a Summer Site Lead.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF A SUMMER SITE LEAD:

• Plan, prepare for, lead and teach various activities outdoors to groups of 4-20 youth and adults.
• Supervise outdoor recreation activities related to schools and camp groups.
• Host and facilitate assigned groups to ensure the best possible delivery of services.
• Clean and turnover camp after each group’s visit.
• Assist in maintaining, supporting and implementing Camping Services goals and objectives.
• Contribute to the “community” nature of camp and may at times be asked to perform functions that are not a regular part of their daily routine.

REQUIREMENTS TO BE A SUMMER SITE LEAD:

• Minimum age of 18 

• Current state approved first-aid certification

• Current CPR certification

• Minimum of 6 months experience working with youth

• Possess knowledge and desire to work with children.

• Possess mature judgment and sound decision-making.
