VALLEY OF THE SUN YOUNG MEN'S CHRISTIAN ASSOCIATION is Hiring a Copy Of Program Director I - Family Engagement - Tempe YMCA Near Tempe, AZ

RESPONSIBILITIES OF A PROGRAM DIRECTOR OF FAMILY ENGAGEMENT:

  • Develops and directs high quality family member engagement strategies and programs which support branch and Association goals, and strategies.
  • Coordinates and leads family member engagement programs including, but not limited to: Kids Club, Parent’s Night Out, Esports, Ninja Gym, Rockwall, and others as prescribed by leadership.
  • Recruits, hires, trains, develops, and directs employees and volunteers. Reviews and evaluates staff
  • performance. Develops strategies to motivate staff and achieve goals.
  • Develops, manages, and monitors assigned operating budgets to meet or exceed targets. Recommends adjustments to the budget to ensure balanced operation and submits reports on current operations.
  • Direct leadership of branch part-time employees.
  • Establishes plans for the expansion of programs and services, in harmony with overall YMCA objectives and the leadership team.
  • Provides staff support for assigned committees. Provides staff leadership for annual support campaign.
  • Ability and willingness to provide programs on weeknight and weekends.
  • Serves as a participating member in cabinet meetings.
  • Serves as a member of YMCA management and supports the overall objectives of the YMCA.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS TO BE A PROGRAM DIRECTOR OF FAMILY ENGAGEMENT:

  • Minimum age of 21.
  • Minimum of two years in family engagement services, membership services, marketing, sales, and/or customer services.
  • Working knowledge of computers and office machines.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in person, on telephone, and through email.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations including members, peers/co-workers, supervisors, and volunteers.
  • Ability to learn and retain information related to programs, services, and membership options.
  • Ability to handle conflict management in a positive manner.
  • Ability to coordinate and plan events and activities.
  • Ability to lead staff team.
