We are now hiring a Full-time General Laborer at Valley Machine Tool, INC in Morrow, Ohio.

In this role, you will be sawing, painting, cleaning, and light machining!

Typical Week in the life of the General Laborer:

· Complies with all applicable standards, policies, and procedures, including safety procedures and the maintenance of a clean work area.

· Complies with all applicable standards, policies, and procedures for proper cleaning of miscellaneous parts.

· Prepares finished parts for shipping, including cleaning, rustproofing, painting, and final packaging.

· Blasts and/or cleans parts to prep for painting, as needed.

· Follows process and advisement from the plant manager and reviews customer print on how to paint the parts assigned.

· Fill the paint pot per the mixing specifications and use a spray gun to paint the areas of the part(s) required.

· Complies with all applicable standards, policies, and procedures for proper disposal of paint and/or paint thinners, including safety procedures and the maintenance of a clean work area.

· Cleans paint gun, pots, their workspace, and follow any other required cleaning protocols, at the end of each day.

· Communicates with plant manager of any needed paint supplies or of any damage to the spray guns, or other paint equipment.

· Saws material as instructed or as specified on the router.

· Inspects and measure workpieces to mark for cuts and to verify the accuracy of cuts, using rulers, squares, or caliper rules.

· Sets up, operates, or tends saws or machines that cut or trim materials to specified dimensions, such as circular saws, band saws, multiple blade sawing machines, scroll saws, ripsaws, or Crozer machines.

· Inspects stock for imperfections or estimates grades or qualities of stock or workpieces.

· Ensures all markings or information needed for traceability (E.G. Heat Numbers, PO numbers, material type, etc.) are attached/marked on any remaining material immediately after cutting material, before moving to inventory shelf.

· Tracks and manages material inventory by physically controlling material locations and organization; with ERP system, including adding/subtracting material, moving to specified jobs, confirming correct material, etc.

· Light machining, as needed.

· Performs all other duties as assigned.

What we’re looking for:

· 2 years of experience cutting and trimming materials with a C and C horizontal band saw.

· 1 year of warehouse experience

Background in the machining/manufacturing industry
