Valley Eye Associates is Hiring a Patient Services Representative - Part-Time (preferred Medical/Dental/Insurance experience) Near Green, WI

Valley Eye Associates, leaders in Ophthalmology and Optometry, is looking to hire the right individual to assist our patients and doctors in a Patient Services Representative role. Previous experience a plus, yet willing to train the right candidate.

Qualifications Include:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous customer service experience.
  • Previous EPIC experience a plus, yet willing to train.

Essential Skills:

  • Articulate communication skills via phone, in person, fax or e-mail.
  • Ability to operate a variety of office equipment including computer, phone, fax and printer.
  • Convey enthusiasm.
  • Strong organizational and problem solving skills.
  • Ability and willingness to drive to all Valley Eye locations to support department.
  • Ability to work as a dedicated team member.

Duties Include:

  • Scheduling, rescheduling and canceling patient appointments.
  • Checking in and registering patients - obtaining all necessary paperwork and signatures from the patients.
  • Scanning insurance cards into EMR.
  • Collecting co-payments.
  • Making follow up appointments.
  • Answering telephone calls promptly and in a professional manner.
  • Directing telephone calls to appropriate personnel.
  • Entering telephone encounters into the EMR and/or messaging Technicians or Doctors.
  • Update patient recalls as necessary.
