This is a direct-hire position that will be onsite in Milwaukee. The Director of Business Applications is pivotal in supporting our business strategy through the IT applications portfolio's ongoing development, delivery, and governance. You will lead the IT applications team; this role shapes the enterprise applications strategy, ensuring operational effectiveness and support. Key responsibilities include directing solution delivery and support, mentoring the team, overseeing relationship management with business unit leads, and maintaining compliance with financial and regulatory controls.Important Note—Our client is converting their current ERP system to Oracle. If you have experience with this type of implementation, you will be considered above others. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS – COMPETENCIESCommunicates effectively with others using various methods and tools.Builds constructive working relationships characterized by high acceptance, cooperation, and mutual respect.Ability to influence others to perform their jobs effectively and to be responsible for making decisions.Manages multiple projects simultaneously and structures and directs other's work on projects or programs.EDUCATION, SKILLS & ABILITIESEducation:A bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related IT field is preferred.Experience:5 to 10 years of experience leading application support at a senior level, development, and delivery teams in a complex business operation; with a demonstrated successful delivery leadership track record.Three years’ experience in a senior IT applications leadership role (Director / VP of Applications).3 years’ experience managing design, development, and implementation of enterprise systems (ERP).Tool Experience:You must have experience with the Oracle suite of enterprise applications (Oracle EBS, OBIEE).Demonstrated experience in managing a complex portfolio of business applications at the enterprise level.Strong understanding of software architecture and development, and formal design methodology.Strong understanding of Java, Oracle, .NET, etc., on Windows platforms and current web technologies (i.e., HTML, CSS, etc.).
