JOB TITLE: Office Aide

JOB PURPOSE: 

As a Website Content Intern, you will work closely with the School of Nursing’s Business Manager to transfer content from CDs to the School of Nursing’s website. This role will provide exposure to various aspects of web content creation, including writing, editing, and optimizing content for Search Engine Optimization (SEO) using UW’s content management system, Omni CMS. The ideal candidate will have a passion for storytelling, an eye for detail, and a desire to learn and grow. This internship is a one-time project with an expected duration of one semester (Spring 2024 preferred)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Content Creation:
   • Transfer content from a donor’s website and CD’s and put the content on a section of the School of Nursing’s website.
   • Make the content engaging and informative.
   • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop content that aligns with the company's brand voice and messaging.
2. Website Management:
   • Work with content management systems (CMS) to upload, format, and publish content.
3. CMS Training:
   • Must complete the Site Author Training course online before receiving access to Omni CMS.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Currently enrolled in a relevant degree program (e.g., Marketing, Communications, English, Journalism, or related field).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic understanding of SEO principles is a plus.
• Creative mindset with an ability to think outside the box.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to work cooperatively with a team.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:  

Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) is a bonus.
