JOB TITLE: 

Library Aide - Geology Library 

JOB PURPOSE: 

Assist Geology Library staff with circulation and customer service tasks

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Open and close the library.
• Check in/out library materials to library users.
• Shelve books and maps.
• Data entry/computer work. 
• Scan articles to be sent electronically to patrons.
• Special projects as assigned.

REMOTE WORK ELIGIBILITY: 

This position provides vital support to campus customers and requires the successful candidate be available to work on campus.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: High School Diploma/GED
Experience: none

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Candidates with a work study award for academic year ‘24-‘25 preferred and will be given full consideration. (Eligibility for work study is determined through completion of the FAFSA form).
• Customer service experience/skills.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills. 
• Ability to alphabetize.
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs with or without a reasonable accommodation.
• Some knowledge of Word and Excel.
