Utz Quality Foods is seeking a Vice President, Sales Distribution and Effectiveness. This position is responsible for developing, overseeing, and optimizing our distribution strategies to ensure that the warehouses have adequate inventory of product to drive revenue growth and enhance customer experience. The VP of Sales Distribution and Effectiveness will lead the Sales Distribution Centers (warehouses), collaborating cross-functionally to ensure efficient distribution operations. Key focus is on the Right Product, Right Place and Right Time.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic plans for efficient distribution of products aligned with organizational goals and objectives.
• Evaluate and enhance processes to improve efficiency, using best practices and technology.
• Oversee the management and expansion of Distribution Centers Nationwide.
• Drive operational excellence to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products to the warehouses while minimizing costs.
• Improve overall Independent Operators/Distributor satisfaction through adequate inventory.
• Monitor effectiveness using Key Performance Indicators, KPIs and implement improvements to optimize efficiency and effectiveness. (Cost per Case, Cases per Hour, overall Profitability)
• Collaborate with sales, marketing, and production teams to align distribution strategies.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with partners, negotiate agreements, and resolve any issues or disputes that may arise.
• Provide strong leadership and guidance to the distribution team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards. Identify and mitigate potential risks.
• Conduct market research and analysis to identify new opportunities for expansion and growth.
• Develop and manage the budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and alignment with overall financial objectives.
• Evaluate and maintain appropriate talent levels to ensure strong sales growth, a qualified bench for succession planning, and loyalty to the Utz Brand of products.
• Ensure their team is developing skills by utilizing training programs and developmental opportunities.
• Ensure that all authorized policies, programs, and instructions are communicated effectively.
• Oversee that distribution centers meet Utz facility and safety standards.
• Ensure that Food Safety programs are followed.
• Perform other duties as assigned that will impact and support the overall outcome of the Company's objectives.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business preferred or 10 years of relevant experience leading a Consumer Product Goods', CPG, Distribution Center team, preferably in the food industry.
• This position requires a leader who is flexible and willing to participate and work alongside the sales distribution teams.
• Strong people leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop high-performing teams.
• An entrepreneurial spirit and exhibit positivity.
• Deep understanding and hands-on working knowledge of the internal functions of distribution logistics, inventory management, and supply chain operations.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strategic thinker with the ability to translate vision into actionable plans.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities effectively.
• Excellent collaboration skills. Ability to work with all levels of employees, working alongside the sales team in our warehouses.
• Exceptional communication skills, encompassing presentations, facilitation, and written content.
• Strong business acumen with a deep understanding of Utz's needs and goals as well as the organizational, people, and cultural dynamics.
• Competency with Microsoft Office and other common software for data analysis and presentations.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Commitment to social responsibility.
• A valid driver's license and willingness to travel weekly, including overnight accommodations, is also required.
• Fast-paced environment that requires organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Flexibility to perform at levels to meet peak demands in periods of high volume and activity.
• Prolonged periods sitting in a car or at a desk, working on a computer.
• Walking or standing for prolonged periods while visiting internal and external customers and team members.
• Driving a company or personal vehicle is required.
• >50% travel is required.
