About The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the accounting operations of the company, including oversight of accounts payable and receivable.

Summary of duties and responsibilities:

  • Gathers and analyzes information from the general ledger system and other sources
  • Analyzes information and options by developing spreadsheet reports and verifying data
  • Provides reliable answers to accounting and financial questions by researching, interpreting, and communicating data
  • Maintain and submit all Certified Payroll requests
  • Research and accurately report payroll corrections to the appropriate Department of Labor
  • Communicate with Project Accounts to identify job specific Certified Payroll requirements.
  • Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential
  • Supports Accounting and Organizational strategic goals, planning and initiatives
  • Be a self starter and the ability to troubleshoot
  • Other duties as assigned or prudent

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Bachelors' degree in Accounting, Finance or related business field
  • At least 3 - 5 years of experience in accounting
  • 3 - 5 year of Certified Payroll experience preferred, but not required
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and legal requirements of accounting and finance
  • Vista Viewpoint experience a plus
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team environment
  • Must possess good interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
  • Experience in Construction Industry preferred
