USUI International is Hiring a Quality Assurance Assistant Manager Near Sharonville, OH
- Oversee, direct, and manage the Quality department on a daily basis with direction from the Quality Manager.
- Provide direction, leadership and mentorship to Quality Engineers and other staff to accomplish company goals and objectives.
- Support, and lead trouble-shooting efforts on internal and external customer concerns.
- Analyze data, determine specific measure for improvement an issue corrective action.
- Coordinate and enhance cross functional team to team activities.
- Promote team building within the quality group and plant.
- Interface with other departments to establish process controls and product test requirements.
- Analyze and interpret data including test results for internal and external requirements.
- Correctly respond to customer portal request.
- Maintain quality records and documentation.
- Maintain KPI and QIP reporting.
- Generate required weekly and monthly reports along with any other required reports as needed.
- Participate in training and coaching of quality personnel.
- Conduct internal audits.
- Coordinate and resolve quality issues at customer sites to include in-process and purchased supplier components.
- Participate in required meeting, some of which may be during non-normal business hours.
- Assist with IATF16949 and ISO14001 certification audits and prep work.
- Learn and understand customer specific requirements and ensure they are being met.
- Perform 4S activities and lead activities as required.
- Travel as needed, typically less than 5%.
- All other duties as assigned by management.
- Bachelor degree or equivalent experience required.
- 5 or more years quality experience preferably in the automotive industry preferred.
- 5 or more years in high volume manufacturing preferred.
- Moderate to advanced knowledge of automotive OEM structure (Ford, Honda, GM, Nissan and others).
- Working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning Tolerance (GD&T)
- Ability to analyze problems, make appropriate judgements in a timely manner, work independently as well as in a team environment, and organize and execute multiple tasks.
- Ability to communicate well with excellent oral and written skills. (Japanese language and/or Bilingual, a plus).
- Ability to develop presentation material and communicate and report effectively with customers and/or internal team.
- Proficient in standard MS office PC/software applications. Knowledge of MRP Plex (a plus)
- IATF 16949 working knowledge/experience (a plus).
- Familiarity with T1 automotive operations to include; EDI, ASN, MRP, 8D, 6S, Poke Yokes, IATF-16949 certs, and other management tools preferred.
