POSITION: Process Technician (Bending Adjustor) Night shift

USUI International has an exciting opportunity for a talented individual to become a Process Technician (bending adjustor) at our Chesapeake location – night shift.
FUNCTION:
 Set up, adjust, and operate rotary and NC tube bending machines to form tubing used to fabricate fuel/brake lines.
 Provides support for manufacturing processes.
 Provides support for new project and product development for the Engineering department.
Duties:
 Prepare to set-up job or run previously set-up job by reviewing work order, operator's or setup documents, or blueprints.
 Select and install machine accessories and holding devises (e. g., collet, radius block, pressure die, clamp die, mandrel, mandrel rod, and wiper line, if needed).
 Adjust bending machine by setting centerline, adjusting collet, mandrel rod length, pressure die, wiper line if used, and machine pressure.
 Perform test bends to verify that bends are within tolerance for ovality, angle, and are free from tool marks.
 Enter measured angles into control panel of bending machine; if different than required angle to reset proportional and constant spring back and achieve drawing bend angle requirement.
 Production manufacturing support.
 Fix/realign/tag machines in production area.
 Assist with establishing new equipment/jigs/tools, set up for production.
 Produce reports as required.
 All other duties as assigned by Management.
QUALIFICATIONS:
 1-3 years of experience with adjusting NC and rotary tube/pipe bending (preferred)
 Previous equipment maintenance experience (preferred)
 HS Diploma or GED equivalent (required, 2yr college experience preferred)
 Minimum 1-3 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment (required)
 Computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Word) (required)
 Lockout/tag out experience (preferred)
 Robotics experience (preferred)
 Able to interpret specifications and blueprints (required)
 Strong verbal communications (required)
 Mechanical skill for maintaining the machines/equipment preferred (will train as necessary)
