Position Overview: The Information Security Analyst is a key contributor to USAN’s cyber security strategy, supporting the configuration, maintenance, and monitoring of USAN’s critical security systems. Reporting to the Manager of Information Security, USAN’s Information Security Analyst works closely with USAN’s DevSecOps personnel, Cloud Architects, and DevOps personnel to provide guidance and insights into security events. While monitoring is a primary job function, the ideal candidate will demonstrate a willingness to learn SecOps tooling and configuration support for USAN’s various cyber security platforms (ex. endpoint protection, secure web gateway, vulnerability scanning/management, etc.) USAN provides an extraordinary opportunity for the right candidate to expand their knowledge in the cyber security operations and tooling space.

Responsibilities:

Monitoring & Auditing :

• USAN SIEM solution and sources, providing initial triage and context for security events.
• Key contributor for 3rd party information security audits using AWS audit tools, e.g., Audit Manager.
• Daily tuning, monitoring, and operations for data center and cloud security systems.
• Review Daily logs and reports to identify cyber security events and maintain compliance requirements

Response :

• Coordinating the response to security events.
• Familiar with MITRE ATT&CK Framework and TTPs.
• Assist with gap remediation as required.

Configuring :

• Tuning and configuration for various USAN Cyber Security Tools.
• Oversee implementation, configuration, and ongoing support and monitoring for technological. solutions utilized to maintain and enhance USAN’s cyber security posture in AWS.

Automation :

• Working with the DevOps team to integrate and automate cyber security in a “shift-left” manner.
• Assist with the configuration and maintenance of the AWS CI/CD build template.

Cloud Security :

• Assist with assessments, identity and access management, and other key cloud security areas. The primary resource for the management of the AWS vulnerability scanning program utilizing AWS Inspector.
• Investigate innovative AWS technology to maintain USAN’s information security environment.

Basic Qualifications:

• Education: BS in Computer Science or related 4-year engineering/technical degree
• Professional: 2 Years in a cyber security role or 4 years in a related technical role
• Goal Oriented: Ability to work in both a supervised and unsupervised manner as required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certifications : AWS Certified Security Specialty, AWS Cloud Practitioner, CISSP Associate, CEH
• Cloud : Familiarity with cloud security [ IAM, Virtual Networking, WAF, etc. ]
• SIEM: Monitoring/Configuring SIEM or log aggregation solutions.
• Frameworks: Familiarity with SOC-2 Type-2, NIST 800-53, PCI, ISO 27001, HIPAA, etc.
• Problem Solving: Role requires strong analytic and problem-solving ability.
