Responsibilities

Collects and reports preliminary data for clinical research trials; assists with Case Report Forms (CRF’s) according to protocol; assists with recruitments of research patients; performs follow up with research participants as protocol outline; participates in trial start up and close out activities as indicated; schedules and prepares for study visits; assists in coordination of lab and procedures; assists with development of protocols and standard operating procedures (SOP’s) for data quality assurance; performs general clerical duties (faxing, scanning, routing messages, managing study supplies/materials); may assist or perform under supervision a variety of medical procedures; may assist in compiling, editing and proofing written reports; may perform data analysis using a variety of software packages; enters data into Electronic Data Capture (EDC) systems necessary for trial operation; demonstrates flexibility and initiative with respect to process improvement; establishes effective working relationships with cross-functional team(s); identifies and responds appropriately to both internal and external customer needs; regular and prompt attendance; ability to work schedule as defined and overtime as required; related duties as required.

Qualifications

Associates degree in a healthcare related field OR completion of an approved clinical program from an accredited institution as approved and accepted by the University of South Alabama and one year of experience in research or healthcare facility.
