Join our team. #CloroxIsThePlace Your role at Clorox: Hourly Rate- $32.89/hr $0.85/h Shift Differential, when on nights The EIC Technician is a critical part of the of the Maintenance and Production teams, responsible for keeping equipment running in a safe and efficient manner. The EIC Technician reports to the Maintenance Department Manager, and has responsibility for maintaining all electrically controlled devices on the plant floor, including troubleshooting, performing PM work orders, and ensuring proper hardware and software configurations. In this role, you will: EIC Technicians will support production equipment and flow to the highest priority work while collaborating across department boundaries, participating in team building activities, and ensure compliance with all plant procedures, policies, and standards. Work Expectations: The EIC Technician will: Ensure that all electrical equipment is in safe operating condition Practice safe work habits daily and ensure all safety processes are followed. Maintain proper tools in good working condition and keep work areas clean. Maintain mechanical and electrical knowledge via in-going training, industry workshops, and technical reading. Assist with developing training documentation and participate in the training of new maintenance team members. Key Responsibilities: Modify, maintain, or repair electronics equipment or systems to ensure proper functioning. Replace defective components or parts, using hand tools and precision instruments. Set up and operate specialized or standard test equipment to diagnose, test, or analyze the performance of electronic components, assemblies, or systems. Read blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematic drawings, or engineering instructions for assembling electronics units, applying knowledge of electronic theory and components. Identify and resolve equipment malfunctions, working with manufacturers or field representatives as necessary to procure replacement parts. Assemble electrical systems or prototypes, using hand tools or measuring instruments. Review electrical engineering plans to ensure adherence to design specifications and compliance with applicable electrical codes and standards. Assemble, test, or maintain circuitry or electronic components, according to engineering instructions, technical manuals, or knowledge of electronics, using hand or power tools. Review existing electrical engineering criteria to identify necessary revisions, deletions, or amendments to outdated material. Maintain system logs or manuals to document testing or operation of equipment. Select electronics equipment, components, or systems to meet functional specifications. Calculate design specifications or cost, material, and resource estimates, and prepare project schedules and budgets. Educate equipment operators on the proper use of equipment. Supervise the installation or operation of electronic equipment or systems. Compile and maintain records documenting engineering schematics, installed equipment, installation or operational problems, resources used, repairs, or corrective action performed. Modify electrical prototypes, parts, assemblies, or systems to correct functional deviations. Integrate software or hardware components, using computer, microprocessor, or control architecture. Research equipment or component needs, sources, competitive prices, delivery times, or ongoing operational costs. Provide user applications or engineering support or recommendations for new or existing equipment with regard to installation, upgrades, or enhancements. Install or maintain electrical control systems, industrial automation systems, or electrical equipment, including control circuits, variable speed drives, or programmable logic controllers. Execute PM work orders and create work orders for issues found during PM inspections. Troubleshoot, repair, improve, and maintain all equipment including all electrical components, drive systems, conveyors, processing equipment, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, utilities, etc. Utilize shop equipment, measurement and other diagnostic tools, and power and hand tools to assess the condition of new and used equipment. Maintain and troubleshoot PLC, HMI, and vendor developed programs. Become SAP proficient to pull weekly work schedule and evaluate work orders and concerns to escalate appropriately to ensure scheduled work can be completed. Prepare maintenance daily reports using activity logs, analysis, and trends. Attend daily shift meetings to discuss prioritized work orders and minimizing downtime. Provide electrical support to capital and internal projects. This includes documentation, job scopes, managing contractors, and participating in meetings. Drive Forklift and shop mobile equipment as needed. Any other duties as assigned by management. Working Conditions: The EIC Technician continually or frequently encounters these conditions during a shift of work: 1) exposure to dust & fine particles; 2) exposure to high noise levels; 3) exposure to moving equipment; 4) exposure to scents and odors; 5) repetitive gross and fine hand motions, including grasping, gripping and bending hand/wrist; 6) standing (up to 12 hours per shift); 7) walking (up to 12 hours per shift); 8) wear common protective or safety equipment (safety shoes, glasses, gloves, hearing protection, hard hats); 9) work at heights exceeding 6 feet; 10) work indoors, partially environmentally controlled. The EIC Technician occasionally or seldom encounters these conditions during a shift of work: 1) bending, twisting or squatting; 2) climb steps and ladders; 3) lifting and carrying, up to 50 lbs; 4) pushing and pulling, up to 50 lbs; 5) reach above shoulder, perform work at or above shoulder height; 6) sitting; 7) wear specialized protective or safety equipment; 8) work in an enclosed vehicle or equipment; 9) work in an open vehicle or equipment; 10) work in very hot or very cold temperatures; 11) work outdoors, exposed to weather; 12) work with cutting tools. What we look for: Experience with PLCs and HMIs strongly preferred. Advanced understanding of control systems, relays, sensors, fuses, breakers, and computer networks. Capable of operating hand, power, and specialized tools Excellent problem-solving and communication skills Strong computer skills and willingness to use tablets Basic understanding of mechanics Knowledge of SAP PM preferred Minimum Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent; Associate’s Degree in Mechatronics or similar field preferred We seek out and celebrate diverse backgrounds and experiences.
