Essential Functions of the Job: Qualified individuals must have the ability (with or without reasonable accommodation) to perform the following duties:

• Trains new and existing Boiler Operators as new members join the team and system upgrades necessitate new training needs
• Responsible for dust capacity optimization, management and troubleshooting.
• Manages steam supply to downstream users
• Leads troubleshooting efforts of the boilers
• Operates boilers and dust system as needed
• Performs 5S and TPM as needed
• Documents changes/fluctuations in operations and prioritizes those fluctuations that need to be addressed.
• Operates boilers and kilns and monitors the activity of these systems.
• Records and adjusts hourly instrumental readings. Analyzes trends to improve efficiency of performance.
• Tracks downtime and completes OE data collection
• Responsible for shutting down boiler in abnormal conditions in a proper and safe manner
• Monitors chemicals and softeners as they enter the boiler operations.
• Documents PH levels and conductivity in appropriate logbooks

QUALIFICATIONS:

• H. S. Diploma / G.E.D

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• 3-5 years’ experience in manufacturing, production and distribution environment
• 3-5 years’ experience operating boilers and/or kiln equipment

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:

• Able to troubleshoot and correct any abnormal conditions
• Mechanical, electrical and pipe-fitting acumen
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point, etc
• Able to read, comprehend and comply with Job Safety Analysis and related safety requirements
