Join our team. #CloroxIsThePlace Your role at Clorox: Production Operator Job Description Production operators are part of a team of multiskill operators that have a variety of skill blocks that allow them to operate in different packaging machine zones to make a variety of bleach based products as efficiently as possible with safety and quality as the foundation to every unit produced. Production operators also serve on Autonomous Maintenance teams and/or perform light maintenance depending on their skill level. General physical requirements include having the ability to stand-up on your feet for 8 to 10 hours a day minus two 10 minute breaks (1 per 4 hours) and a 30 minute lunch. Have the ability to lift a 40lb case of bleach. Have the ability to negotiate stairs, ladders and crossovers. Be able to properly lift and dump cap boxes (approximately 25lbs a box) up to 90 times. Be able to rework a pallet of product stacking 40lb cases up to 5 feet high. Be able to pick-up and install changeover parts, the heaviest is approximately 40lbs. In this role, you will: Duties: Assure compliance with all Safety and Quality rules and procedures May serve as a member of the safety pillar Will lock out and clip out packaging machines as appropriate If serving in the Cap Zone or Pack Zone must understand and perform all quality inspection and testing requirements. Follow a safety map Know and adhere to all safety rules. Know and adhere to all product specifications relative to the operator position Perform monthly safety observations of employees, temporaries and contractors. Changeover packaging machines Be able to quickly remove and install parts, turn wrenches, and follow changeover procedures in an orderly fashion Perform pre-external activities and post external activities in relation to changeover Operate packaging machines Be able to read and understand machine basic operating manuals. Understand the machine sequence of operations Be able to perform basic equipment/machine troubleshooting Could operate a forktruck, up and down off of forktruck several times a day Maintain equipment Be able to perform all Clean Inspect and Lubrication standard work. Be able to clean machines which include but is not limited to, wiping dust, scraping, polishing, rinsing, etc. Be able to perform weekly and monthly lubrication Be able to inspect gauges, normal position marks (centerlines), etc. Team work Work toward team goals Perform peer performance observations Recognize others with Bravo peer to peer recognition system Support continuous Improvement of the overall facility What we look for: Targeted Dimensions Job Requirements/Skill for Production Associates Targets High School graduate or GED Minimum 2 yrs experience in a high paced mfg/Industrial environment Ability to use various computer applications and familiarity with Excel Mechanical/technical aptitude / experience Packaging experience We seek out and celebrate diverse backgrounds and experiences.
