R10039863 VP of Operations (Open) Location: Charlotte, NC - Old Dowd Rd (Plant) - Filling industrial How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW? The Vice President of Operations oversees package gas fill plant operations, plant distribution, and cylinder asset management within the region. Responsibilities include managing operations, maintenance, safety, regulatory compliance, capital expenditures, budgeting, and other assigned duties. Safety and Regulatory Compliance: - Ensures alignment with Airgas Safety Pledge and 12 Life Saving Rules. - Promotes safe work behaviors and provides coaching for improved safety culture. - Collaborates with the Region's Safety & Compliance Director for incident investigations, corrective actions, and training. - Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements (OSHA, DOT, DHS, FDA, EPA) and conducts necessary training and recordkeeping. Customer Service / Business Development: - Ensures quality customer service for internal and external customers. - Handles inquiries promptly and courteously, ensuring complete customer satisfaction. - Manages inventory of cylinder assets throughout the Region. Operations / Facility Management & Support: - Maintains quality and delivery standards for products and services. - Develops and manages operations and capital expenditure budgets. - Coordinates with various teams to monitor order, production, and distribution trends. - Analyzes monthly operations financial reports for improvement opportunities. - Resolves operational and maintenance issues efficiently. - Implements and revises standard operational practices. - Collaborates with other regions and experts to resolve issues and provide support. - Approves restricted product requests and engages with the product review board as necessary. Personnel / Personnel Development: - Manages direct reports in accordance with organizational policies and procedures. - Develops subordinate managers in collaboration with Area Operations Managers. - Ensures sufficient staffing levels and develops recruitment and retention strategies. - Delegates duties for increased efficiency and staff development. ________________________ Are you a MATCH? Qualifications: - Demonstrated ability to drive business improvement. - Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills. - Ability to work independently and under pressure. - Experience in regulatory management and leadership. - Flexible schedule and willingness to travel.
