Sun Solar is seeking a full-time Human Resource Director in the Springfield, MO community. As a part of our HR team, the Human Resource Director will be responsible for leading the staffing and talent acquisition efforts to grow and expand our amazing team.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for overall management of the Human Resources Department, which
    includes management oversight of, Recruiting, Onboarding, Employee Health Benefits, Education, Training, Workers Compensation, and the Payroll Department.
  • Responsible for the administration of the benefit programs. Prepares
    recommendations to revise current programs and implement new programs.
  • Oversee the development of the short- and long-term manning plan for the organization.
  • Oversee the recruiting efforts of the organization. Work with the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) and staff managers to support recruiting efforts and prioritize recruiting support efforts.
  • Participates in employee terminations as needed and ensures all appropriate
    documentation is prepared
  • Insure there is a line of communication between staff members and upper management
  • Delivering courses and training that staff need in order to meet the company's goals
  • Keeps abreast of new developments in the area of governmental guidelines and
    regulations and advising management of relevant HR laws and regulations
  • Making sure employees have a safe and supportive work environment
  • Assists in establishing and monitoring goals and objectives for the company
  • Oversee and administrate company compensation and benefits.
  • Administrate employee services and counseling
  • Responsible for ensuring job descriptions are accurate and up-to-date. Assists as
    needed in the preparation of job descriptions for newly created positions
  • JOB DUTIES MAY INCLUDE (but are not limited to)

  • Managing the HR Department staff
  • Briefing the ELT on employee issues.
  • Advising management of relevant HR laws and regulations.
  • Maintain the Employee Handbook and develop policies, as needed.
  • Travel to various offices and facilities, as needed. Interacting with Sales and Marketing leadership to open new market locations.
  • Assisting senior management, as needed.
  • 5 years of Human Resources experience
  • 5 years of management experience
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business, management, or related field.
  • SHRM Certified Professional is a plus.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
