US Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command is Hiring a FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST Near Washington, DC

Duties

  • You will provide analytical support for a wide variety of requirements within the control of a payroll database (i.e. administer access, validate job order numbers, and work centers) to ensure accurate labor distribution.
  • You will prepare database reports to ensure that payroll processes were captured correctly for employees while ensuring accurate expenditures of payroll.
  • You will review and reconcile Defense Civilian Payroll System reports to ensure accuracy of information for new and existing employees.
  • You will prepare data summaries for inclusion in routine and special reports on labor execution while ensuring that budget controls for labor are maintained.

  • This is a Financial Management Level 2 certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within 2 years. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.
  • You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Preparing reports to check for proper budgeting, expenditures, and accuracy; 2) Analyzing and providing data from a financial management system for an organization's programs and administrative operations; 3) Analyzing data for improved operational efficiency and economy; and 4) Developing data summaries for presentation to management.

This is a Financial Management Level (II) (Select appropriate level) certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d.
