Our clinical care team consists of board-certified urologists, most of whom are fellowship-trained, nationally recognized, awarded, and published. Working in a team-based environment, our mission is to help patients optimize their urological health.

Job Overview

Desktop Support Specialist provides local and remote end-user support throughout Urology of Virginias network. They deploy, configure, maintain, and upgrade all necessary computer, network, and telephony equipment. They are the first responders for IT related issues. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated with strong interpersonal skills, and who enjoys interacting with people in a fast-paced educational environment.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Installing and maintaining hardware and computer peripherals
  • Troubleshoot networking and connection issues
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues
  • Writes and maintains documentation in order to improve client references
  • Evaluate network performance and find ways of improvement 
  • Identify and escalates situations requiring urgent attention
  • Provides remote assistance after hours during their on-call rotation
  • Creates and maintains documentation pertaining to hardware or software installation procedures, computer asset tracking, loaner equipment, the shipping or receiving of equipment, RMA’s and software licensing

Requirements

Required License/Experience/Skills

  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Direct experience troubleshooting Microsoft Windows 10 and Server
  • Hands on Active Directory user and basic network troubleshooting 
  • General knowledge of the Microsoft Office application 

Preferred License/Experience/Skills

  • CompTIA A certification, CompTIA Network certification, Any Microsoft certification, Any other Technology related certifications
