As a Medical Assistant you will be responsible for providing clinical support to ensure efficient operation of a busy, established urgent care. You will support doctors, physician assistants, xray technicians and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization and communication. The target is to complete all activities accurately, with high quality and in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients and document basic medical history
• Complete your portion of the electronic medical record
• Check with patients and type up patients charts
• Assist during medical examinations
• Produce and distribute correspondence memos, letters, faxes and forms
• Prepare and clean treatment rooms and medical instruments

Skills

• Proven working experience as a medical assistant
• Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures
• Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
• Social perceptiveness and service oriented
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational and planning skills
• Proven competence in splint application, EKGs, lab draws, medication administration
• Degree in medical assistance
• Preparedness for doing multiple nasal swabs for COVID each shift, whilst using appropriate PPE

Job Type: Temporary

Pay: From $17.00 per hour
