If so, read on…Upgrade Inc., a fast-growing fintech "unicorn", is looking for a "Rockstar" to join our Banking Operations team. This key role will increase the organizational value of the Banking Operations team by analyzing transactions, processes, and performance metrics against risk thresholds and benchmarks. Adhere to established procedures as well as create new processes to increase efficiency and reduce risk. You will be able to leverage and develop both your quantitative and qualitative skills within this exciting role! Partnering with Leadership to create and develop performance measurement KPIs (key performance indicators) and KRIs (Key Risk Indicators) while reducing risk associated with transaction processing. As you build critical relationships across the operation, you will be instrumental in determining additional areas of business need where analytical prowess can be leveraged to improve decision-making. To be successful in this role, you must be detail-oriented, creative, innovative, consultative, willing to learn and grow and enjoy a fast-paced challenging environment. Additionally, you must have experience with Banking products and transactions to help identify risk, prevent fraud, and improve processing efficiency.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Review reports, accounts, and transactions on a daily basis to ensure processing is completed within established deadlines. Identify potential risky transactions and behavior and take steps to limit exposure to loss for Upgrade and our customers. This may include canceling transactions, restricting accounts, and escalating issues to leadership to identify trends and prevent fraud.
  • Review and test KPIs and KRIs created for Banking Ops to ensure information is accurate. Partner with Leadership and the Business Intelligence team to resolve issues and create new measures of Department success.
  • Develop creative approaches to identify root causes for operational problems, leveraging data, and propose effective solutions.
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational effectiveness and improve efficiencies.
  • Share best practices within the Banking Ops team to increase the collective skills of the team. Leverage the best practices and work with the P n P team to create procedures and job aids.

Skills, Experience, & Qualifications:
