Job Description

Visa Consulting and Analytics (VCA)drives tangible and impactful financial results for Visa's clients, including Financial Services (Issuers/Acquirers/Processors), Merchants and Fintech(s). Drawing on our expertise in strategy consulting, payments, macroeconomics, and data modeling, analytics and insights, Visa Consulting and Analytics collaborates and helps solve our client's most strategic problems.

Essential Functions

This role's specific responsibilities will be focused in four key areas and include, but not limited to, the following responsibilities:

Solutions and Innovation

  • Co-development and management of the VCA North America MSA and Fintech Solution Strategies, Roadmap, and Priorities with Industry Segment Leadership.
  • Function as the MSA and Fintech conduit with VCA North America (Segment Leaders, Practices, Solutions, and Data Science) and teams outside of VCA (Account Executives, Product Teams) to drive integration across the solution lifecycle (planning, requirements, design, testing, commercialization, and rollout).
  • Co-development and support of industry segment solutions go to market strategy, training, communications, and sales materials.
  • Support preparation for quarterly Portfolio Optimization Steering Committee.

Pipeline Management & Strategic Deal/RFP Support

  • Co-development, optimization, and rollout of the MSA Fintech pipeline management strategy, process, and tools with Vice President (Industry Segment to MSA and Fintech Team).
  • Co-development and rollout of a centralized VCA North America MSA and Fintech RFP/Deal support strategy, process, and tool kit with the Vice President and Industry Segment Leaders.
  • Partner with North America Visa Deal Teams to align on a standardized Advisory Story and required content, analysis, and insights for prioritized deals.
  • Manage and refine a content and asset library.
  • Partner with the Industry Segment Leads to manage the RFP and Deal prioritization and approval process with both Deal and AE Teams.

Industry Thought Leadership

  • Co-develop and maintain industry specific thought leadership strategies with the VCA MSA and Fintech Industry Segment Leaders.
  • Actively manage and communicate thought leadership roadmaps to strategically plan delivery of content and messaging to ensure all parties are on task for on time delivery.
  • Coordinate and support the development of content and function as a liaison between identified teams to bring planned topics to life (e.g., VCA Segments, Practices & Strategy Operations, Visa Account Executives, 3rd Party Partners).

Special Projects

  • Scoping and management of additional special projects, including potentially being staffed on client engagements, given business strategy and leadership and team priorities.

The US Consulting Practice within VCA provides consulting and solution services for Visa's largest clients within the United States. We apply deep expertise with leading capabilities to unlock and advance our clients' key business priorities (both payments and non-payments focused). The team provides a comprehensive range of services to deliver unique and valuable solutions in areas such as improving profitability, strategic growth, customer experience and loyalty, digital and unified commerce and proactively managing fraud and risk.

The North America VCA Merchants, Acquirers and Fintech (MSA Fintech) Team is looking for Senior Consulting Manager to partner with our Vice President, Industry Segment Leaders and their teams (Acquirers, Everyday Spend, Fintech(s) /Digital Partnerships, Retail and Travel and Entertainment) to help advance our capabilities and offerings and lead special projects focused on driving innovation and profitable growth. The role's scope will be primarily focused in four key areas including Capabilities and Solutions, Pipeline Management & Strategic Deal Support, Industry Thought Leadership and Innovation and Special Projects (inclusive of client facing consulting projects if required) pending business and leadership prioritization.

This role will report directly to the Vice President of the NA VCA MSA Fintech Team and partner closely with multiple stakeholders including VCA (e.g. Segments, Practices, and Strategy and Operations) and broader Visa Teams (e.g. Account Executives, Product Teams) to co-develop, implement, and deliver these new strategies, roadmaps, products and processes. The role is currently an individual contributor role with the ability to manage direct reports in the future.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • 8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 or more years of experience with a PhD
  • Prior management consulting experience with a leading firm focused in both strategy development and execution.
  • Diverse and broad industry experience in the Merchant (Fuel, Dining/Restaurants, Convenience, Retail and Travel and Entertainment), Acquirer, and/or Fintech/Digital Partners segments.
  • Solid experience in collaborating in the creation and selling of new offerings and solutions (concept through go to market) across both internal and client stakeholders.
  • Strong program and project management experience with ability to flex style appropriately across key stakeholders and audiences (executives to individual contributors)
  • Experience in selling consulting and advisory work and actively managing and forecasting an opportunity pipeline.
  • Strong analytical skills, with demonstrated intellectual and analytical rigor.
  • Self-motivated, results oriented individual with the ability to oversee multiple projects concurrently.
  • Skilled at using presentation, data visualization, and pyramid-principle storytelling to help our intern teams and clients make the best, fact-based decisions for their business.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
  • Prior people leadership experience is a plus.
  • Technology mindset, curious, up to date with digital trends and applications.
Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 134,000 to 228,650 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
