The University of New Mexico Information Technologies (IT), Enterprise Managed Systems and Services (EMSS) Workstations team is seeking two (2) highly motivated, self-starter, flexible and resourceful Technical Analyst 1's. Ideal candidates will have experience in managing Windows and Mac desktops, Microsoft Active Directory (AD), file/print services and basic network and security practices. In addition, this position will assist in the management of workstations through Microsoft SCCM and JAMF Pro. Successful candidates will have exceptional communication skills, a thorough understanding of IT systems management best practices and a well-developed sense of customer service for the values, practices and procedures found in a higher education environment.

Specific Job Duties:

1.Assists in workstation & printer support as part of “managed workstation program” for over 25 departments.

2.Provides Tier 2 level enterprise support for Microsoft 365, Antivirus, print server and classroom/lab support for all UNM users who are not supported by department IT.

3.Assists in centralized support for ~600 Macs in Jamf and ~2700 Windows systems in SCCM.

4.Assists SMEs in SCCM/JAMF/M365 support, troubleshooting and testing.

5.Assists in documentation of processes and procedures.

6.Performs Active Directory (AD) OU administration and management for all managed workstations customers.

7.Assists in network troubleshooting for workstations as in relates to AD, LDAP, DNS, DHCP, SMB/AFP shares.

8.Supports daily ticketing queue for managed workstation customers.

9.Supports Kronos Time Clocks across campus.

10.Assists in using SCCM/JAMF to image and deploy new equipment to managed workstation customers.

11.Assists classroom tech in support of labs/classroom software updates & imaging.

12.Helps navigate our managed workstation customers to timely resolutions of their tickets. Works as an intermediary between SMEs and the customer.

13.Assists surplus process with data destruction and hardware disposal.

14.May serve as single point of contact for Executive Leadership to provide VIP support.

15. Maintains current and up-to-date knowledge with respect to relevant technologies, equipment, and/or systems.
