The University of Wisconsin-Platteville, School of Business seeks a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Human Resource Management.
Responsibilities:Teach and possibly develop or redesign primarily undergraduate courses in human resource management; also providing academic advising, engaging in scholarly activities, teach and/or developing courses for students at a distance if assigned, and provide professional service to the department, university, and the community.
What You'll Need to Succeed:* Doctorate degree in human resource management* Experience teaching college level training & development course(s)* Demonstrated excellence in teaching* Minimum 3 years industry experience in a formal training capacity. * SHRM or HRCI certification * Demonstrated ability to deliver effective instruction in basic and advanced human resource management courses, such as compensation, training, and/or labor relations* Demonstrated ability to incorporate active or applied learning and other high-value learning practices in instruction* Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills* Demonstrated potential to conduct scholarly research* Ability and willingness to contribute to the effectiveness of the School and the institution* Exhibits positive interpersonal skills* Willingness to teach in both campus and distance environmentsDemonstrated commitment to or experience with diverse and/or historically marginalized or underrepresented populations
