Research Project Assistant

Work with two research faculty in Psychiatry’s Neuroscience research lab to suppport the Adolescent Brain Cognitive Development (ABCD) study as well as a federally funded study aimed at identifying risk factors associated with mood and anxiety psychopathology. Assist in collection of neuroimaging and behavioral data, as well as data preprocessing and quality control procedures. Will provide technical and administrative assistance and perform data management functions in support of University research projects.

Bachelor’s degree in related field and one to three years’ related experience required.
Familiarity with Unix and shell scripting required.

Programming background including familiarity with R, Python, Matlab or specialty neuroimaging software (e.g. AFNI, FSL Freesurfer) or specialty genomics software (e.g. PLINK, MACH) preferred.

$21.00 to $26.00/hour. Actual hiring pay dependent on comparable campus peer(s) at time of hire, and candidate’s experience level and length.

Contingent on continued funding, Occasional evening and/or weekends required (if non-exempt position, may result in overtime), Bargaining unit position, External candidates must complete a 4-month probationary period, This position is eligible for a hybrid schedule with an option to split time between campus and elsewhere, in accordance with the university telecommuting policy, Background Check required for this position
