SalarySalary Range: Up to $45,000/Annualized, commensurate with education, experience and qualifications.

Scope: Responsible for researching and implementing graphic design for assigned projects.
Typical:
- Provide professional graphic design support to the division of Business Affairs, including the office of the Vice President. Design support includes the areas of web, print, and digital materials.
- Develop and implement branded print and digital design materials for assigned publications, web graphics, social media content and emails.
- Work with all areas of the Business Affairs Strategic Communications team and other key campus personnel to plan and execute assigned projects that require graphic design support.
- Research and solve problems relating to the mechanical and visual design of information to be shared, ensuring designs are appropriate for the audience and communications channels.
- Exercise professional judgment in the application of techniques and practices employed in mechanical and graphic design.
- Serve as a division expert on university branding, maintaining knowledge of current brand guidelines and standards.
- Maintain and update new or existing content based on feedback, working under tight deadlines.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Periodic:
- Work with campus videographers, photographers and marketing professionals in project planning and execution.
- Act as primary design consultant on specific projects.
- Provide design training to team members as requested.
Required QualificationsGraphic Designer II:
- Bachelor's Degree in graphic design, digital art, digital communications or related field.
- Two years of full-time equivalent experience as a graphic designer in a design group or advertising agency.
- Willingness to take feedback and work within university branding standards.
- Effective judgement, tact, diplomacy, and discretion required in all matters.
- Ability to work effectively with a variety of professionals, administrators and support staff.
- Personal computer with software associated with publishing, graphics, drawing and web design.
- Demonstrated experience using Adobe Suite, including Photoshop, LightRoom, Illustrator, InDesign and Premiere.
- Demonstrated knowledge of photography and videography skills, including knowledge of various web programming software to include ColdFusion, ASP, HTML, JavaScript, and CSS.
- General office equipment.
- Perform other duties as designed.
Graphic Designer III:
- Bachelor's Degree in graphic design, digital art, digital communications or related field. (Additional experience may be substituted for education on a one for one basis).
- Three years of experience as a graphic designer in a design group or advertising agency.
- Willingness to take feedback and work within university branding standards.
- Effective judgement, tact, diplomacy, and discretion required in all matters.
- Ability to work effectively with a variety of professionals, administrators and support staff.
- Personal computer with software associated with publishing, graphics, drawing and web design.
- Demonstrated experience using Adobe Suite, including Photoshop, LightRoom, Illustrator, InDesign and Premiere.
- Demonstrated knowledge of photography and videography skills, including knowledge of various web programming software to include ColdFusion, ASP, HTML, JavaScript, and CSS.

- Experience as a graphic designer in a university setting.
- Design experience in a university or other institution of higher education.

Working ConditionsThis position will be primarily located:
Hybrid-Occasionally: Primarily works remotely, but may work on campus on an infrequent basis (approximately four days or less per month). Travel and parking expenses are the employee's responsibility. Applicants must be adaptable and open to working in both environments.
