Salary
Salary Range: Up to $20,000 annualized, based on 20 hours per week. Commensurate with education, experience and qualifications.

Essential Functions
The UTSA Athletics Development team is seeking a highly organized, proactive, and solution-oriented individual, skilled at communicating effectively with internal and external audiences to serve as a Development Assistant. This position will report to the Assistant Athletics Director for Development. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Supports special events logistics, including management of football and basketball gameday hospitality clubs.
• Supports donor stewardship, acknowledgements and benefit fulfillment processes.
• Responsible for inbound and outbound donor emails, monthly newsletter content and RAF social media accounts.
• Responsible for inbound and outbound phone calls on RAF phoneline.
• Supports RAF team with annual donation appeals, calls and mailers.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and one year of development, donor relations, or other relevant administrative experience supporting activities that advance fundraising efforts. Additional experience/education may substitute for education/experience on a one for one basis.
• Ability to work independently, be flexible, handle diverse tasks, and balance competing priorities.
• Must be able to work without close supervision; possess strong problem solving and critical thinking skills with the ability to be resourceful, proactive and self-motivated.
• Strong analytical, writing, organizational and communication skills.
• Demonstrated planning and organizational skills, ability to meet deadlines and manage details for multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to transport event supplies and to travel to external meetings/events using a personal vehicle.
• Must have a valid driver's license by first day of employment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Athletics administration, fundraising or events management experience.
• Familiarity with the cultivation, solicitation and stewardship process.
• Similar experience working in a non-profit setting.
• Demonstrated knowledge of cultivation, solicitation and stewardship process.
• Development writing experience.

Working Conditions
The primary work location for this position will be on campus. Travel and parking expenses are the employee's responsibility.

• Position will require occasional travel using a personal vehicle; evening and weekend duties will be required.
