Position Description
Advertised Job Summary
The Patient Support Specialist is responsible for supporting patient services and operations for USC Brain Health. This position is under indirect supervision and works closely with medical providers and Brain Health staff to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
Required Education and Experience
A high school diploma and 2 or more years of relevant experience working in a physician/medical practice setting, or equivalency.
Preferred Qualifications
Prefer a bachelor’s degree and at least 1 year of experience working in a physician/medical practice setting, or equivalency.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to prioritize and be flexible.
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office.

Coordinates all scheduling and referral processes for Brain Health Network patients and providers, including, but not limited to, scheduling patient appointments, conducting patient reminder calls, authorizing services, handling medical records, following up with patients and providers, and creating/maintaining schedule templates.
