Job Purpose:Using a collaborative approach to promote campus-wide engagement, the Assistant Director of Admission Events is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing all graduate and undergraduate enrollment events and visits for prospective students and their families. This includes managing the logistics and details of events, as well utilizing industry best practices, a customer-centric mindset, and data to inform a successful admission event strategy.
The Assistant Director of Admission Events is an important member of the admission team, playing a key role in the recruitment and enrollment of new students. The successful candidate will have a passion for event planning, as well as the skills and experience needed to manage the logistics and details of events while effectively promoting the university's values and goals.
Essential Duties:- In consultation with the Director of Admission, Plan, organize, and execute all admission-related events, both in-person and virtual, through the following:
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with key campus partners
- Develop and implement strategic admission events
- Develop and oversee programming related to these events
- Utilize a strategic approach to event management though assessment of event-related data with the goal of continual improvement to the campus-visit experience
- In conjunction with the Director of Admission and the Associate Vice President of Admission and Enrollment, oversee all aspects of fall and spring counselor events, including the execution of a fall fly-in event and local spring counselor event
- Utilize Slate CRM to manage event landing pages, and create/update templates, event types, forms, and communications related to all admission events
- Meet established visitation/event goals
- Collaborate with the admission team, faculty, and staff to develop and implement programming and messaging that aligns with the universitys goals and values
- Work with campus vendors and partners to secure space, catering, technology, and other event logistics
- Regularly produce and analyze reports utilizing quantitative metrics related to events as well as qualitative metrics such as visitor experience assessed through survey instruments for continual improvement of practices
- Manage the registration process for events, including creating event pages, managing RSVPs, and coordinating with the enrollment marketing team to promote events
- Develop and maintain relationships with high school counselors, community organizations, and other key stakeholders to promote the university and its admission events
- Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and best practices in event planning and admissions

- Ability to work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, including faculty, staff, students, and external partners and be open to constructive feedback
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience using data and analytics to inform decision-making
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team- Must be able to support the Universitys commitment to fostering a diverse, equitable, and inclusive culture

Minimum Education Requirements:- Bachelors degree in a relevant field is required
Preferred Education:- Masters degree is preferred
Minimum Job Experience Requirements:- At least three (3) years of experience in event planning, preferably in a higher education setting
Preferred Qualifications:Schedule/Work Hours:Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Additional hours as required.
