Clinical Nutrition Specialist - Pediatric Endocrinology Clinic

Provides comprehensive nutrition care (MNT) and education for pediatric patients referred for medical management at the Golisano Children's Hospital, Division of Pediatric Endocrinology.

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable dietitian to join our pediatric endocrinology team. As a pediatric endocrinology dietitian, you will play a crucial role in providing nutritional support and guidance to pediatric patients with endocrine disorders.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Assessing the nutritional needs of pediatric patients with endocrine disorders.
• Developing personalized nutrition plans based on patients' medical history, dietary preferences, and treatment goals.
• Providing education and counseling to patients and their families on dietary management, including meal planning, carbohydrate counting, portion control, and nutritional supplementation.
• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including pediatric endocrinologists, nurses, psychologists, and social workers, to optimize patient care and outcomes.
• Monitoring patients' nutritional status and dietary adherence through regular follow-up visits and assessments.
• Staying up-to-date on the latest research and best practices in pediatric endocrinology and nutrition, and integrating new evidence into clinical practice.
• Participating in departmental meetings and continuing education activities to enhance professional development and promote interdisciplinary collaboration.

Preferred Qualifications: Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) credential and experience working with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
