Clinical Nutrition Specialist - Pediatric Gastroenterology Clinic
Provides comprehensive nutrition care (MNT) and education for pediatric patients referred for medical management at the Golisano Children's Hospital, Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition.
Position highlights:
The registered dietitian works with patients and their families on the nutritional issues specific to the gastrointestinal disorders. Nutritional therapies for the treatment of inflammatory bowel disease, suboptimal growth, food allergies, obesity, and enteral and parenteral feeding are individualized by the registered dietician in the clinic setting. The use of medical nutritional formulas and diet plans are monitored and adjusted to promote growth and development. Initial and ongoing nutrition education and counseling are provided to our patients and their families.
