Job Description
The Mixed Methods Research Lab, in the Department of Family Medicine and Community Health, seeks to hire a Statistical Analyst A/B to support various ongoing mixed methods research projects. The MMRL is a service center that works with investigators to provide conceptual and technical support for mixed-methods, community-based, and clinical research studies. As part of the MMRL team, the Statistical Analyst A/B will independently manage qualitative, mixed methods, and evaluation components of sponsored research projects, and will mentor other junior analysts, coordinators and assistants on the team. The position will have responsibility for protocol development, subject recruitment, instrument development, and will adhere to all regulatory requirements. The Statistical Analyst A/B will work with colleagues across the institution and will participate and represent DFMCH at team meetings, site group meetings, and ongoing training, protocol, and compliance meetings.
Job Responsibilities
With minimal assistance, participate in recruitment efforts, writing IRB protocols, and qualitative data collection (including group moderation, note taking, and participant observations);
Mentor the study team in coding and analysis, and will participate in team meetings to synthesize themes in qualitative data, and may interface with external stakeholders to discuss future collaborative projects;
Responsible for data management - including cleaning, formatting, and preparing transcripts and other data for coding and analysis, as well as database development;
Responsible for entering survey and screening data into REDCap, MS Access, and NVivo databases; and
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Statistical Analyst A: The minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a health-related field and 3-5 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.
Statistical Analyst B: The minimum of a Master's degree in a health-related field and 3-5 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.
Both levels: Experience in qualitative research, subject recruitment, and qualitative data collection, is desired. Working understanding of NVivo and RedCap, SPSS, and Qualtrics are required. Successful candidates will have excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills; and will have the ability to work both independently, and collaboratively in teams.
Target Salary
Statistical Analyst A: $55,000-$57,000
Statistical Analyst B: $63,000-$65,000
This position is contingent upon future funding.
