Thomas Jefferson University & Jefferson Health is Hiring a Statistical Analyst Near Philadelphia, PA

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

Provide statistical programming support to medical and health science research projects. Depending on the project, this may include development of databases and data management, performing data analyses, and summarizing results of analyses for manuscript and presentations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Under supervision of a higher-level biostatistician, incumbents perform professional statistical work on a variety of problems restricted in difficulty and scope.
  • Examples of duties assigned to this level include performing routine statistical computations such as t-tests, chi-square tests, and simple regression analyses; perform complex computations when formulas are set up and when specific instructions are given in their use; code raw data and design simple codes for machine processing; clean and manage raw data; and generate graphics from computer output and prepare final graphs for reports.
  • Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the mission, vision, and values of Jefferson.
EDUCATIONAL/TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:Bachelors Degree with a major in biostatistics, statistics, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience._____________________________________________________________ _ ___________EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:Prior experience as a statistical programmer in SAS preferred
