Research Coordinator

Job Description Summary

This role coordinates the day-to-day operations for several research protocols. They will be responsible for the abstraction of complex medical data in order to determine study eligibility. Manage data using different tools, systems and statistical software package and submit protocol modifications and continuing reviews to the IRB as needed, perform literature review, and write reports and sections of grant proposals and manuscripts for publication.

Job Responsibilities

* Field work, as a Blue Coat in clinical settings (multiple departments). This entails embedding within a clinical department for multiple weeks to observe day-to-day friction and barriers at all levels (physician, nurse, admin, EVS, ect.). Once barriers and friction points are observed they summarize the data for the team.

* Stakeholder engagement. This role will support the Blue Coat project manager in stakeholder engagement and data tracking metrics, ensuring progress towards project milestones, and compiling this information in quarterly reports for Center for Health Care Transformation and Innovation leadership and leadership within active Blue Coat departments.

* Support continuous data collection and aggregation for the Blue Coat program

* Help aggregate data for programmatic dissemination (presentations, manuscripts, flyers, white papers, etc.) Because this is a new program that most people aren't familiar with yet, it will be imperative that success stories and information for interested departments is socialized throughout the health system. This will be critical to scaling the Blue Coats program beyond just the ED, and will allow for collaboration with other groups working on employee wellness.

* Manage data on program success metrics (engagement, staff satisfaction, burnout, etc.)

The position is contingent upon grant funding.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science and 1 to 2 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
