This position involves work on an NIH-funded clinical trial to evaluate the efficacy of a behavioral intervention to prevent cognitive decline and improve diabetes control in Black/African American older patients with diabetes and mild memory problems. This position occasionally requires travel to participantsrsquo; homes, which will be paid for if the individual does not have a car. If they have a car, the study will pay for parking, mileage, and other travel-related expenses. This is an ideal opportunity for individuals who are interested in pursuing a career/graduate degree in public health, psychology, or clinical trials.

Essential Functions:

• Recruit, screen and enroll study participants
• Conduct consent and study interview with participants
• Obtain data from participantsrsquo; electronic medical record
• Conduct neuropsychological testing (training will be provided)

Competencies (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required):

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

• Associatersquo;s Degree or higher with minimum of 4 years of clinical research experience; OR
• Bachelorrsquo;s Degree with minimum two years of clinical research experience OR
• Masterrsquo;s degree and 1 year of clinical research experience.
