Job Description Summary
Counseling and Psychological Services seeks a strong clinician with experience in college counseling and specialty training/experience as a behavioral health consultant. CAPS is a multidisciplinary setting providing service to undergraduate, graduate and professional students. This clinician will function in our main center to provide initial assessments, crisis intervention, individual and group psychotherapy, collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team and campus partnership offices, training/supervision, consultation and outreach and prevention. Additional duties may include participation in our drop-in team or Let's Talk Program. This clinician will spend a third of their time in our Student Health Services as a member of an integrated care team.
This is a full-time exempt position. This clinician will report to the Executive and Clinical Directors of CAPS. This clinician expected to work until 7pm one or two days per week and participate in a rotation for Saturday coverage 10-3pm.
Job Description
Duties:
Responsibilities will include:
Assessment and diagnosis of behavioral health concerns and needs in the primary care setting, assessment of needs of primary care providers.
Development and presentation of psycho-education to integrated team on role of BHC and understanding behavioral concerns as they relate to medical presentations.
Provide targeted interventions to patients; provide ongoing treatment planning and interface with other providers when indicated.
Evaluate crisis presentations and intervene as needed.
Serve as a liaison between departments in the service of enhancing collaboration.
Participate in Wellness Department meetings in the service of role definition and program planning.
Qualifications:
Counseling Psychologist B: Master's Degree in Psychology or Social Work with 3 to 5 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
Counseling Psychologist C: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree required in Psychology or Social Work or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
Must be licensed in the State of Pennsylvania. Experience working as a behavioral health consultant with a mental health multidisciplinary team is desirable. Highly preferred candidates will have experience working with under-represented students or students of color. Must have a license or be license-eligible in the State of Pennsylvania.
