Position Summary | The Center for Native American Health (CNAH) is seeking a passionate, detail-oriented student research assistant to aid our NIH funded WEAVE project -Community Engagement Research Alliance (CEAL) Against COVID-19 Disparities: Wide Engagement for Assessing COVID-19 Vaccination Equity. CNAH partners with community groups, organizations, and government agencies to develop sustainable solutions and creative pathways for improving the health and well-being of Indigenous people. We specialize in Native American student & workforce development, community engagement, community-based participatory research (CBPR), community health assessment capacity building, program planning, and project management. Under general supervision responsibilities include, but are not limited to: -Work with a team of researchers to administer research interviews and assessments while following a standardized protocol. -Help recruit and screen potential study participants. -Schedule appointments to collect surveys over the phone and in person. -Collects and processes research data, ensuring accuracy and completeness. -Enter data into computer databases and other software. -Ensure strict confidentiality of study participants and research data . -Assist in preparing progress reports for the PI and funding agency. -Co-manages the inventory of equipment and supplies related to the study -Clerical duties as needed (i.e. answer phones, filing, scanning, printing) -Performing other duties and projects as assigned. |

Preferred Qualifications | 2. Familiarity with (or academic/professional interest in) American Indian community health, such as public health, health, education, social work, community development, etc. 3. Existing knowledge or interest in learning about protocols for communicating with American Indian leaders, elders, youth, and community members both on and off-Reservation. 4. Basic understanding of human subjects research including qualitative/quantitative data collection, analysis, and entry. 6. Effective communication skills including verbal, written, and presentation skills. 7. Must be able to commit to a weekly schedule and be consistently dependable for these hours. 8. Proficient in MS Office including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. 9. Demonstrated willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities. 10. Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills. |
