Job Description
GENERAL PURPOSE:The purpose of this position is to improve the quality of life in the City of Gallup and McKinley County by assisting high-risk youth and families and promoting resilience and equality in a manner that is respectful of the diverse culture of our citizens. This is accomplished by coordinating efforts with State, County, Tribal, and non-profit service providers and partners to achieve the overall goals of the behavioral health grants and related programs activities, and services. Duties include coordinating local advocate groups and performing administrative duties. Other duties include interacting with and engaging the community and service providers in program planning and implementation. Under the general direction of the Behavioral Health Program Manager.
Additional Information
STARTING HOURLY PAY: $29.52 p/h
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma or equivalent, (GED).
- Valid driver’s license. Must meet City’s inability requirements.
- One Year Experience coordinating, community events, meetings, and/or coalitions.
- One Year Experience working with grants.
- One Year Experience in and working with local behavioral health or public health services.
- One Year Experience working with Trauma-Informed approaches.
- Experience working with youth or providing youth services.
Other Conditions:
- Must pass a background check.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with data collection and working with a program evaluator.
- Experience working with multiple stakeholders
- Experience working with First Responders.
- Associates of Arts in Human Services or related field.
- Experience working with Incident Command Systems.
