Some of the capabilities and programs included beneath that umbrella: Training, Simulation and Quarantine Center, the result of a nearly $20 million grant from the Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response (ASPR) of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services National Biocontainment Training Center, a high-fidelity simulation center that includes a mock lab and autoclave. National Quarantine Unit, the nations only federal quarantine facility, a 20-bed isolation facility that is the primary destination for people possibly exposed to high-consequence infections. National Ebola Training & Education Center, a network created with Emory University in Atlanta, and Bellevue Hospital in New York City, to ready the nations health systems for the next pandemic outbreak.
