Position Information

Essential Functions
The College of Information Science and Technology is seeking a part-time employee to work in the reception area in the Dean’s office while providing a welcoming atmosphere for visitors, students, faculty, and staff. Duties included:
- receive visitors in a warm and friendly manner, and answer any questions visitors have
- answer and direct phone calls in a polite and friendly manner
- operate standard office equipment on a regular basis, including copy machines and computers
- assist Deans and faculty with word processing, filing, and special projects when assigned
- schedule and prepare meeting rooms
- receive deliveries; sort and distribute incoming mail
- maintain reception and break room areas in a clean and tidy manner at all times
- run errands on campus
- other clerical duties as assigned
- lifting objects weighing up to 50 lbs. will be required on occasion
Work Schedule
M - F, Hours will vary

Required Qualifications
- proficient in Microsoft Office
- strong written communication skills
- excellent interpersonal skills
- punctual with strong attendance history
- comfortable multi-tasking and prioritizing tasks without guidance
- present oneself appropriately in a business casual environment
