Part-Time Medical Accounts Receivable Specialist

Omaha Eye & Laser Institute is seeking a medical billing associate to join our team. To succeed in this role, candidate must possess and in-depth knowledge of medical insurance policies. The ideal candidate must also be reliable and able to work Mon-Fri between the hours of 9a-2p (can be adjusted slightly).

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and submit billing data and medical claims to insurance companies
• Verify copays with insurance companies
• Insurance Authorizations
• Ensure the patient’s medical information is accurate and up to date
• Follow-up on missed payments from insurance and resolve financial discrepancies
• Insurance aging accounts

Requirements:

• A minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Medical Biller or similar role
• Solid understanding of billing software and electronic medical records
• Must have the ability to multitask and manage time effectively
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Outstanding problem-solving and organizational abilities
• Experience is Ophthalmology and/or Retina a PLUS!
