The Mission of Global REACH is to facilitate health research, education, and collaboration among learners and faculty with our global partners to reduce health disparities for the benefit of communities worldwide. We are focused on five key goals:
The Program Manager will assist the Director for Asia Programs in advancing Global REACH's emerging and ongoing initiatives in Asia that provide training and development opportunities for learners and faculty in the medical school. The University of Michigan Medical School has a long history of collaboration with partners, both at the individual and institutional level. These partnerships provide unique opportunities for our learners to observe and learn about healthcare delivery in a system that is vastly different from our own US healthcare system, and allow our faculty to collaborate with scientists to address health concerns that are critical to patient populations in both the US and Asia. Working under the direction of our Director of Asia Programs, this individual will support efforts to design and develop these important relationships and programs, including support of our Joint Institute for Clinical and Translational Research, Global Executive Education programs, visiting scholarship programs, and research training programs. This vital position offers unique opportunities to work with students, faculty and staff across the medical school, as well as to interact with visiting national and international dignitaries.
Working under the direction of the Director for Asia Programs this individual will develop, plan and coordinate all administrative and logistical aspects of the Executive Education Program. Specific responsibilities include:
