Responsibilities:
- Analyze complex financial data including partner compensation, practice group profitability, and client billing metrics.
- Develop and maintain advanced financial models to project revenue, expenses, and cash flow, adapted to unique Am Law 200 conditions.
- Collaborate with senior management on budget development, variance analyses, and performance tracking.
- Conduct thorough industry research focusing on competitors and potential strategic expansions.
- Prepare detailed financial reports tailored for specific needs within the Am Law framework.
- Identify and execute cost-saving measures to enhance financial efficiency and maintain competitive advantage.
- Provide strategic financial guidance to support business development across various practice groups.
- Uphold rigorous compliance with accounting standards and best practices pertinent to Am Law firms.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or MBA preferred.
- 2 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably within a law firm .
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Advanced skills in financial modeling and software such as Excel and other financial platforms.
- Strong communication skills, capable of presenting complex financial information succinctly.
- Meticulous attention to detail and high accuracy in work.
- Deep understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and law specific practices.
- Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
