Position Summary / Purpose of Position : The Program Associate for the Do Good Campus will contribute to the success of the Do Good Campus through various administrative responsibilities, including marketing, communications, outreach, and general administration as needed.

Primary duties will involve project management, public speaking, scheduling, event planning, and coordination, as well as ongoing, year-round duties such as application reviewer, presenter, and more.

Position Details :

Do Good Campus Strategic Leadership Council Support : Schedule and coordinate meetings for the Do Good Campus Strategic Leadership Council.

Provide on-site support, preparing space, ensuring A / V works properly, and taking meeting minutes for council meetings, including logistics and documentation.

Support relationship management and timely updates to stakeholders, including preparation of emails, reports, and other related materials.

Cross-Campus Outreach, Collaboration, and Partnership Support : Liaise with Do Good Institute staff to promote and present on Do Good Campus opportunities to various campus units, especially targeting faculty and staff, such as campus-wide grant funding, awards, and other departmental initiatives.

Collaborate with other entities on cross-campus initiatives, partnerships, and fundraising, including external stakeholders as relevant, to expand the impact of the Do Good Campus.

The Program Associate will identify and initiate conversations to engage campus and other contacts.

Application Processing and Selection Support : Support in the processing and reviewing of applications for the Do Good Campus Fund.

Assist applicants with inquiries and provide guidance through the application process. Administer the selection and awards processes for all funding opportunities as well as post-award coaching, support, and tracking.

Also, support the review process for other Do Good Institute programs. The Program Associate will have a keen eye toward improving processes and creating even greater effectiveness.

Engagement and Event Support : Assist with Do Good Campus engagement in campus tours, admissions events, and special events.

Collaborate on capital projects, visitor tracking, and visitor experience related to the Change the World exhibit, Do Good Plaza, and other campus opportunities to advance Do Good’s reputation and brand.

This position requires occasional evening and weekend work. This position reports to the Faculty Director, Do Good Campus.

A Bachelor’s degree or combination of education and / or experience may be substituted for the degree and 1-2 years of professional experience.

  • Fluency with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms, Meet), Canva, and Zoom.

  • Previous experience in administrative support and project coordination.
  • Basic knowledge of budgeting and financial processes.
  • Familiarity with the University of Maryland, School of Public Policy, and / or Do Good Institute.
