Position Overview:

Reporting to the Assistant Vice Provost for Program Innovation, the Director will direct the Office of Professional Programs within the Division of Professional Studies. The Office of Professional Programs (OPP) offers a broad array of professionally focused Master’s Degree and certificate programs. The Director will lead three functions within OPP: Recruitment and Outreach, Admissions and Operations, and Student Success, and work collaboratively with key internal partners like the Graduate School, Marketing, and program faculty.

Responsibilities:

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Provide strategic leadership and vision for OPP, managing day-to-day operations and budget
  • Develop and oversee comprehensive outreach and recruitment strategies to attract a diverse community of professional graduate students
  • Implement effective admissions and enrollment operations, as well as student retention and success initiatives
  • Supervise and mentor a team of Assistant Directors and staff, fostering professional development and team cohesion
  • Collaborate with internal partners, including the Graduate School and Marketing, to meet enrollment goals and enhance program offerings
Required Minimum Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree
  • Ten years of progressive experience in higher education administration or a related field
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with a track record of managing teams and building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Proficiency in enrollment funnel methodology, budget management, program marketing and CRM tools, preferably Salesforce
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to analyze data and market trends for strategic decision-making
