Job Summary:

Join CU Anschutz Central HR as a Talent Acquisition Specialist! This is a full-time role on the Talent Acquisition and Classification team. The Specialist provides HR coordination to a team of 12 individuals working in the areas of classification and talent acquisition University Staff and Classified (State) staff; ensures compliance with State personnel laws, rules, regulations, procedures, and guidelines; and communicates internally and externally, about human resource practices and specific actions. The individual in this role should be a self-starter who works well in a group setting and individually. We seek an individual who thrives in a team environment, is willing to learn, and prioritizes customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Creates job postings in applicant tracking system (ATS)
  • Manages the reference checking process, which includes entering, monitoring and emailing hiring managers the results
  • Manages the general inbox accounts and responds to applicant inquiries
  • Reviews and approves position management and template based transactions
  • Assists in managing the really and LinkedIn recruitment tools and manages the Glassdoor account
  • Coordinates the job fair supplies and attends job fairs as needed
  • Maintains and edits the department website

Work Location:

Hybrid – this role is eligible for a hybrid rotating schedule that would be on campus 2-3 times per month and as needed for in-person meetings. This role is located on the Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora, CO.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree in human resources, public administration, public policy, business, higher education administration, social sciences, behavioral sciences or a directly related field from an accredited institution.
    • Substitution: Professional level human resources experience may be substituted on a year for year basis for the bachelor’s degree.

Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Six months or more of human resources experience supporting talent acquisition, classification or position management functions.
  • Experience managing social media communications – Glassdoor, LinkedIn, etc.
  • Experience managing a website and editing content
  • Experience posting jobs in an applicant tracking system
  • Experience creating and editing position data
  • Experience working with confidential HR data and information.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to analyze, interpret, and evaluate a broad range of laws, rules, and regulations in order to exercise good judgment in applying them to human resource challenges.
  • Knowledge of the professional standards, concepts, and practices of recruitment and selection, employee relations, or organizational development and human resource policy.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels throughout the institution.
  • Demonstrated commitment and leadership ability to advance diversity and inclusion.
  • Thorough knowledge of current management and leadership methods and best practices.
  • Must be proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, and Word and open to learning additional HR systems.
  • Must be dependable, detail-oriented, and flexible, organized, willing to learn, possess the ability to multi-task, and have a professional demeanor.
  • Ability to think critically and solve problems with very little information.

Anticipated Pay Range:

The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as

$45,000 annually.

The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position may be eligible for overtime compensation, depending on the level.
